Devblog #4 - The lessons learned

The lessons learned: *Take time off sometimes *I needed to learn more of the basics before starting my first game. I was totally unprepared for some things and it took a lot of effort to get thru them, and other things just never happened because I couldn’t figure it out. From between now and when I start my next game i will definitely be spending a lot of time learning GMS2. *I can make decent music *There was zero story in Terra Rimor, that has gotta change *I didn’t plan any story at the beginning, and so when i thought of adding some story later on it became really difficult, and so none was added *There needs to be a proper ending in future games *I need to try out making a GDD(game design document) for my next game to better prepare and organize *Never set deadlines: I have no real reason to set deadlines but yet I did. When severe patches of bipolar came thru it messed up those deadlines. *I was right to prioritize mental health than to push in finishing this game. This decision added up to 3 months on making the game due to tough times but it was worth it. *I’m in no need/rush to learn making or make games, I dont need to push my self massively like i did in june/july. This is prolly what mainly helped to cause 2-3 months of burnout.

A lot was learned, it was rough but I also learned a lot, like scripts and structs/arrays.It was also super cool to see people playing my first ‘big’ game.
